Everything You Should Know About Sarcasm
Edited by Lifesuggests
"Maybe I should run into Starbucks, because I wanna sleep in the morning, dreaming my fellas are reading it and laughing at the fact that I am obviously sleeping."

Yeah! that's right.
And if I am not wrong, you already read sarcasm jokes in social media posts and somewhere used it without any intention to hurt anyone.
But yes that sounded weird when used in front of a friend to just show up and they gradually didn't understand.

First of all, let's understand what sarcasm is.

In words of the dictionary:
It is a way of using words opposite to what you mean in order to be unpleasant to someone or to make fun of them.

In the modern world:
In intensive manner: When you want to express someone your bitterness in a pleasant and humorous way that lets them look like a fool instead of you after saying it.

Or

To Entertain:
A verbal irony comment with a basic purpose to entertain people without hurting their peace of mind.

Difference between sarcastic humour and sarcastic insult:

I am fond of learning sarcasm in an entertaining manner but insulting someone is not my type.
For example:

Humorous sarcasm:
1) When one door closes another opens..... Or you can open the closed door, that's how doors work.
2) Janice: Oh my God! What a small world.
Chandler: And yet I never run into Beyonce.
3) Ross: Someone at work ate my sandwich!
Chandler: So what did the police say?

Witty sarcastic insult:
1) That you’ve survived this long without a brain is a miracle of modern science.
2) Regardless of what you seem to think, being polite to people hasn’t gone out of fashion.

How should we react to it?

Anybody can be sarcastic with you when you let them be.
People use sarcasm on you when they found a mistake or yours or they wanna just fool around.

So let's react to it...
1) Sarcastic comment = Hahaha
Laugh at it, because there is nothing to take personally.
2) Sarcastic comment = sarcastic answer
Give them a tit for tat. A wise wit is a complement to the listener and can be your place maker.

3) Sarcastic comment = leave that person alone.
If a person uses sarcasm on you, thrice or more than that in a single subject, then it is good to leave that person alone.
(Bosses are more sarcastic if they interact with you politely)

Why you should use it?
  • To create humour in the middle of a conversation.
  • To tell something spicy in a smooth tone when you get angry.
  • To respond to someone who insults you.
  • Cheering yourself up from anxiety.
  • To interest someone with a comment.

Why you shouldn't use it?

Sarcasm can either be the highest form of intelligence or the lowest form of wit because it varies with people and their choices.

If they don't feel good with your sarcasm tone, you shouldn't use it. Kids can't understand it properly and super senior citizens will find it offensive.

If you ask that sarcasm is a feeling? I will definitely say no because it's just a way to express your feelings to those places where you can't express them.

Some people in this era just want to show off their wit because it's a tool to make or hammer a relationship.
Just garnish sarcasm to your chats(as unnecessary spices can destroy your dishes taste).

Tell me via comments if I had missed something(I read all of them).
